A Royal Affair
Still gushing over the grand wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton? Well, get over it already. Here's how to recreate your own regal nuptials instead.

All of us love a good fairytale – especially if it ends with a smooch on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. That was why the world went wild the minute Prince William officially announced his engagement to Catherine Middleton last year.

We wanted to know everything about what had to be the most anticipated wedding since Lady Di walked down the aisle. We waited with bated breath to hear the announcement of the top-secret guest list – never mind that none of us would have been invited. We traced the route that the bridal couple would take in their horse-drawn carriage. We even secretly approved when Prince William broke tradition by specially ordering his favourite multi-tiered chocolate biscuit cake for the royal reception. Of course, we couldn't wait to find out what the royal bride would be wearing.

Our curiosity was finally satisfied with the pomp and pageantry of 29 April, when Prince William and Kate said their royal vows. And it was every bit as lovely as we imagined. As the prince charming whisks his lovely bride away to a happily-ever-after, we do a look-back to see how you can infuse a little royalty into your own big day.
