She first appeared on Hollywood’s big screen as Briony Tallis, a 13-year-old aspiring novelist, who impacts several lives by accusing her sister’s lover of a crime he did not commit, in Joe Wright’s film adaptation of Ian McEwan’s 2001 novel, Atonement. That was in 2007 and she was but 12 years old then. Today, Saoirse Ronan is a blooming Hollywood star in her own right with her latest role as Eilis Lace in John Crowley’s 2015 film, Brooklyn.

Known for her beautiful fair skin and soft blond tresses, you would have swooned had you seen her gracing the 2016 Tony Awards red carpet. The Hollywood actress was absolutely rocking it in makeup that is at once simple yet elegant and timeless. What we loved about it is how it played into the actress natural beauty.

I prepped Saoirse’s skin with Foundation Primer Blemish-less to given Saoirse soft, moisturised skin. I believe that the number one rule to achieving flawless, glowing skin is priming it because if you have a good canvas, makeup sits better.

Next, I used Laura Mercier Candleglow Luminous Foundation in Crème for an inner glow look. After evening out her complexion with Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-1, I highlighted and sculpted Saoirse’s face with the Laura Mercier Face Illuminators on her cheekbones and to the bridge of her nose, Cupid’s bow and brow bone.

I suggest highlighting rather than contouring for a more natural and three-dimensional look. To tie her whole look together, her lips were flushed with Laura Mercier Paint Wash Liquid Lip Colour in Petal Pink.
