5 things brides forget on the actual day

It’s finally your wedding day! Despite the truckload of tasks you’ve completed to get here, it’s still not over. On top of being a bride, you still have a few more things to keep in mind. However, we know that being a bride can be enough to take up all of your time and energy and there are bound to be things that you might forget.

We’ve come up with a list of things that brides commonly forget in order to help you avoid making the same mistake.

1. Touch up bag

Unless your makeup artist will be staying with you the whole day or your wedding is a surprisingly short one, you will definitely need a touch-up bag. Your touch-up bag should be filled with items that your makeup artist used on you. Having a touch-up bag will help you maintain your bridal look and be photo ready throughout the day.

2. Comfy shoes

Staying in heels for almost the whole day can really hurt your feet and put you in an uncomfortable position. Bring along a pair of comfortable footwear to change into once the formalities are over and photographers have been taken. You can even change into sneakers or whatever makes you comfortable. Remember, it’s your day and you should be as comfortable as possible.

3. Charge your electronics

Amidst your preparation, don’t forget to charge your phones and other electronics. This is important as you will still have to be in contact with your vendors, the venue staff and your bridal party members throughout the day.

4. Guestbook

A small detail that can easily be overlooked. Though it is a simple thing to oversee, you shouldn’t leave it to the last minute as then you might have to resort to either a simple book or a really expensive one - both which might not suit your wedding theme. Though guest books are not a necessity, this provides your guests with a way to express and send you their wishes.

5. Eat/Snack

As a bride, you might hardly have the time to eat other than a few bites lucky bites that you might manage. Though your nerves might prevent you from eating a proper meal, you should at least try to snack healthily at regular intervals. Not only will this help you fill your stomach, but it will also give you the energy to stay on your feet throughout your wedding. Try not to give eating a miss altogether as you don’t want to risk passing out or feeling drained out quickly on your special day.

Another way to avoid forgetting these important details is by creating a wedding day itinerary. With this you’ll have a clearer idea on what needs to be done, even for the smallest task.
