The building has stood on Fort Canning Hill for generations, first serving as British military administration quarters before becoming Hotel Fort Canning. It reopened as METT Singapore in October 2025, retaining its colonial architecture while introducing warm, contemporary interiors filled with natural light. 

At 84 rooms and suites, the hotel stays small by Singapore standards, which shapes how the wedding team works. Each couple gets proper attention rather than a template. And, conveniently, the event spaces, the dining, the wellness facilities and the guest rooms all sit at one address.

The Grand and Junior Ballrooms

The Grand Ballroom seats up to 360 banquet-style across 950 square metres, with windows running the length of one side and views out over Fort Canning's greenery. Its twelve pillars sit against the walls rather than in the middle of the room, and an integrated LED wall at the end of the room carries your montage.

The Junior Ballroom seats up to 160 guests. It is bright and full of daylight, and it changes shape easily. Couples use it for solemnisations and wedding lunches. It works as a private reception room too.

Outdoor Terraces Overlooking the City

The Outdoor Terraces are an open-air venue overlooking the city-facing side of Fort Canning Park, framed by lush greenery and the hotel's heritage façade. They comfortably hold 30 to 80 guests for a solemnisation or a cocktail reception. 

The Garden Terrace is the larger of the two, welcoming up to 80 guests, while the Canning Terrace offers a more intimate setting for up to 30 guests, overlooking the surrounding city.

The two terraces can also be combined into one open-air setting for a larger celebration. 

Smaller Parties at L'Amo Bistrò del Mare and Canning Bar & Lounge

L'Amo Bistrò del Mare, the coastal Italian restaurant, seats 40 indoors or holds 60 standing, with a further 38 seats on its own outdoor terrace. Canning Bar & Lounge matches it at 40 seated and stretches to 80 for cocktails, and it has a terrace too. 

They also make sense as the after-party once the ballroom dinner winds down.

Where Photographers Can Shoot at METT Singapore

The heritage façade is the obvious one, best at dusk with the skyline sitting behind it. Inside, the central staircase and corridor give you clean lines against the modern interiors. The lobby handles gown shots well. So does the stairway up to the ballroom foyer. 

Outside, couples shoot along the Garden Terrace and the lush landscaped walkways that wrap the property. 

What the Wedding Packages Cover

There is one package type, METT Harmony, designed for celebrations in either the Junior or Grand Ballroom. Couples can choose between a six-course individually plated menu, priced per person, or an eight-course communal menu, priced per table of 10 guests.

Couples hosting their wedding banquet in the ballroom can also enjoy special discounted rates for an outdoor solemnisation ceremony on the terrace.

The Planning Support You Get

The hotel assigns each couple a wedding specialist who stays on from the first site visit through the menu tasting and the styling to coordination on the day itself. Menus come out of a kitchen led by the award-winning Daniele Sperindio, and the tasting is built into the package rather than charged as an extra. The team also works with a roster of trusted partners, which shortens the vendor hunt considerably.
