7 Essentials For Your Emergency Wedding Kit

Preparing for the worst doesn’t mean you’re jinxing your wedding, it just means you’re ready for everything. After all, better safe than sorry!

Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong,” and weddings are no exceptions to that rule.

Accidents and/or emergencies can and will happen at the most unexpected times. Though there may not be many horror stories of weddings in Singapore, it still pays to be prepared. Here’s your very own wedding guide on all the necessary items that you’ll need.

Be it a Singapore garden wedding or the typical indoor one, these items are sure to fix any possible mishaps in no time.

Sewing Kit

No emergency kit is complete without it. Your sewing kit should consist of a pair of scissors, needles, white thread, buttons and safety pins. Keep these essentials close to fix any possible bridal gown faux pas.

Clear Nail Polish

Save the nails! With your fingers holding the most important piece of the day (your ring), your nails need constant TLC, tender-loving care. Having a bottle of clear nail polish on hand will do wonders to keep them looking glossy and even prevent your nail from chipping!

Candies

Food will be the least of your concern on your big day. You might hardly have the time to catch a breath, let alone have a meal. Unless you have specifically set aside time to dine together with your guests, it’s best to keep hard candies on hand. It helps keep your blood sugar level up to last the night.

Wet Towelettes

A bride always needs constant touch ups especially if it’s an outdoor wedding. Save the hassle of running back and forth to the dressing room by bringing a small pack of wet towelettes. Towelettes will also help with small stains!

Medication(s)

With your emotions on a high, wedding jitters and lack of food you might just end up with a headache. Instead of searching high and low for a solution, keep pain medications on hand to treat any unexpected pain.

Mints

Everything should be perfect on your special day, even your breath. Keep it fresh and minty by having a couple of mints on your person or with a bridesmaid. This way you won’t have to worry about the scent of your breath when you’re greeting your guests or saying your vows.

Makeup

Maintaining that perfect look the whole day is as good as impossible, especially if you’re having an outdoor lunch wedding. To look picture perfect throughout your day simply include the essentials that you’ll need to for a touch-up. Limit them to 3 items to avoid lugging a full makeup set around and this will also limit it to a quick touch-up.

However, do note that these seven items are not all there is to an emergency kit. Each wedding is different and you will know best what you will need in your emergency kit. Just remember not to over-do it!
